Nancy was like a sister to me growing up. My parents were the parents that she wished could also be hers. She was certainly loved by everybody in her family and by anyone who knew her.

It's so surreal to think of how our parents seemed larger than life back when we were little kids and then to experience their decline and passing as adults is indescribable. Thinking of you during this time ~ peace and strength.

Grammy was the best grandma anyone could ever ask for. She was always the most kind and funny person, especially her banterous quips and facial expressions that would be so easy to feed off and would always turn into the most silly stories after a few back-and-forths. She brought joy and comfort everywhere she went and was the best at making you feel understood while enjoying your moments with you. You would always be excited to tell Grammy all about what was up in your life. She was an amazing grandma, and a perfect role model for how to treat friends, family and strangers every day.

Grammy was the funniest and brightest person I have ever met. I dont think there was a moment where she wasn’t laughing or bringing joy to those around her. I love you, grammy!

The site made me gasp. The loveliest of ladies, the kindest of friends. I loved her.

The most beautiful and generous and welcoming person our family has known. She welcomed my husband into the Mills family in San Diego in the 70s and, in so doing, changed his life and - by extension - that of our family.
She helped celebrate his 30th, 40th and 50th birthdays (in Geneva!), inviting him (and us) to Mills family gatherings along the way, and always making sure we felt seen and welcomed and connected.
Nancy was truly extraordinary and we miss her so very much.

Remembering your folks fondly from our graduation weekend in particular, a mere, what, 2.9 decades ago. All the best to you and the family at this time of loss.

Although I did not know your mom, except for little stories that Nicole shared, your pictures and tribute to your mom brought her closer to me.
Thank you for sharing. My thoughts are with you and your family.
This Space Needs You!
We know you have stories about Nancy or the rest of the Mills Family brood or maybe Sabina the cow or even BB the monstrous Anatolian Sheppard. You tell ‘em, we’ll add the pictures and video that bring them to life - better yet, you bring your own pictures/videos and we’ll add them here at a discount.
Life is just one big story without having to worry about grammar and punctuation.
As said before, my mom loved people. Chances are if you knew my mom - you were loved.
Let’s tell her whole story.
Nancy’s wish was to bring people together.
Tell us your favorite Nancy stories and we’ll include them on the site and at the ceremony!
